Dream Holiday!

Hi this layout is inspired from the mood board of Scrap Around the World Challenge and the Topic Vacation from 13arts challenge

The picture in my layout is from my recent vacation to Switzerland which was my dream place to visit and also it was my first trip with my husband alone after my kids were born. This particular picture is outside area of  Rhine falls in Zurich, I loved the roses and flowers all along the country...
It was a lovely holiday and i think everyone should visit this country once in their lifetime!
From SATW mood board i was inspired by the turquoise blue blended flower picture which i have used in my background and stamped some large flowers and butterfly on the sides of my picture layering. I gave a stepped look by using layers and chipboards(checkers). I really liked the pollens and used pink and yellow flowers with pollens. Mica flakes and beads to give some texture around.

Creating the background with color burst was really fun and I loved the watercolor splatter look... This is how I did it...
splattered some water when it was wet...

Here are some closeups to my layout...

Thanks a lot for stopping by and do leave a comment i would love to know your feedback:)

DayDream - SATW

A very inspiring mood board by Scrap Around the World...I had almost planned to wrap up my craft room as I'm going for a long holiday but this mood board was very tempting....I loved the pattern the colours Specially the clip with Golden rim and the plastic roses...I have tried to use these in my layout....

This is a 10 by 10 canvas. I created the background firstly by painting it with gesso and then by splattering some coral colour mist on the background with the help of stencil ....then i splattered some coral mist and peacock feather mist randomly on wet surface...i then used another stencil and rubbed distress ink to put the pattern randomly. Then I sprayed perfect pearls mist to give a glittery and washed look. I randomly stamped some text stamp by penny black and a branches stamp. I painted the wooden clock cutout and the sayings daydream with gesso and added crackle paint. added few elements on the background. I used branches sizzlit and cut some on gold glitter paper and vellum... lastly added coral and mint prima flowers...I love these flowers...The picture is of my niece enjoying some quiet time with the bunny....

Some closeups to show the details of background ,vellum and glitter paper leaves and embellishments

Thanks for your time...Please leave your valued comments...Thanks in advance:)

Happy days!!

Hi today i have made something for two challenge....13 arts challenge-Challenge #30 - "Let's take a selfie"...im not great at taking selfie this is the only selfie of me with my sister on the right and daughter at the bottom and myself on left...I used the dusty attic Hash tag sayings happy days just to match it with the selfie theme...and camera embellishment!!
and the Scrap Around the World Challenge with their mood board http://scraparoundtheworld.blogspot.sg/2015/05/welcome-to-our-annual-epic-event.html
So according to the challenge board I created a background with pink to purple gradient and made some small dots with the stencil with distress ink of same colours as background and giving some dotted impression with the texture paste using the same stencil then some radom stamping with the circles stamp . The smaller dotted stencilling and beads i got inspired by the glass sprinkles. I used the roses in the mood board and some metal charms.

So here is my take on both the challenges....13arts and Scrap Around the World
I have used the Blue Fern Studios paper series Deja Vu and the poppies collage chipboard. Prima flowers pink and some violet...i fussy cut some flower cutting from the deja vu paper collection . I first applied gesso and then Crackled the chipboard and the clock and camera using the rock candy crackle.

Some close ups to show all the elements in detail....

I wanted to give some crackled effect to the chipboard pieces and here you can see the crackled effect...

I used the dusty attic Hash tag sayings happy days just to match it with the selfie theme...

Added some micro beads and some beads and shaded them to pink and purple

I love using the cheese cloth randomly it just gives a little bit on dimension to the entire layout i feel..

Thanks for stopping I enjoyed making it hope you like it too...please leave your valued comments Thank You!
