Happy days!!

Hi today i have made something for two challenge....13 arts challenge-Challenge #30 - "Let's take a selfie"...im not great at taking selfie this is the only selfie of me with my sister on the right and daughter at the bottom and myself on left...I used the dusty attic Hash tag sayings happy days just to match it with the selfie theme...and camera embellishment!!
and the Scrap Around the World Challenge with their mood board http://scraparoundtheworld.blogspot.sg/2015/05/welcome-to-our-annual-epic-event.html
So according to the challenge board I created a background with pink to purple gradient and made some small dots with the stencil with distress ink of same colours as background and giving some dotted impression with the texture paste using the same stencil then some radom stamping with the circles stamp . The smaller dotted stencilling and beads i got inspired by the glass sprinkles. I used the roses in the mood board and some metal charms.

So here is my take on both the challenges....13arts and Scrap Around the World
I have used the Blue Fern Studios paper series Deja Vu and the poppies collage chipboard. Prima flowers pink and some violet...i fussy cut some flower cutting from the deja vu paper collection . I first applied gesso and then Crackled the chipboard and the clock and camera using the rock candy crackle.

Some close ups to show all the elements in detail....

I wanted to give some crackled effect to the chipboard pieces and here you can see the crackled effect...

I used the dusty attic Hash tag sayings happy days just to match it with the selfie theme...

Added some micro beads and some beads and shaded them to pink and purple

I love using the cheese cloth randomly it just gives a little bit on dimension to the entire layout i feel..

Thanks for stopping I enjoyed making it hope you like it too...please leave your valued comments Thank You!

Card-True Love

Hi...after a long time I made a card have been so hooked to the mixed media n scrapbooking...and i made so many....lol...so today I'm going to discuss about the one i have made combining 2 challenges...
Cardabilities Challenge #121

So i have used the layout of Cardabilities which I really loved it and the colours from Colourmecardchallenge I took white card stock and inked with distress ink...then the yellow designer paper and applied clear gesso on it after it dried I applied Texture paste to give it some dimension and then sprayed with different yellow shimmer mists (i don't remember the name).I inked all edges with a brown distress ink...then cut two strips from a different designer paper for the two laces...the leaves are cut from sizzix die and i used lost lagoon for that...i used Cheery lynn gardenia die to make melon mambo flower as I cudnt find the same shade of flower anywhere so made it myself and two kaiserkraft small white roses. I have used a chipboard for the centre and and brushed it with lost lagoon lightly...then i put together everything and put some ribbon when setting the flowers and lastly added some pearls to the edges and some splatters with stains....I hope you like it...Thanks:) Here is my card with some closeups

13 arts April challenge- SWEET!!

Hi...i had to really think a lot for this one as i had two favourite colours ....i love PINK and Turquoise...as you will see most of my layouts done previously are turquoise or pink...lol..so this is my take on april challenge of 13 arts...we had to choose our favourite colour and there was a mood board for further inspiration...Details of the challenge... http://13artspl.blogspot.sg/2015/04/april-challenge-29-favorite-color.html

From the mood board I have used the roses...the dew drops,lock...a leaf stem...some micro beads and few buttons. I have used the pic of my sweet daughter this is from her 5th birthday...
I have used the simple stories designer paper and put clear gesso on the entire sheet then i took few shades of pink acrylic paint and mixed with gel matte medium and applied randomly where i was going to put my picture then i cut thin strips of designer paper, lace and canvas sheet and stuck it vertically near the painted area. I did silver heat embossing with stencil at the corners of the picture and the title sweet then some smaller square stencil with texture paste then I splattered some white pink and silver paint randomly .... I put together all my embellishments the mini roses on the leaf stem are handmade from tim holtz new die mini tattered flowers...added some cheese cloth for added texture...i roughened the edges of the layout and punched with martha stewart lace punch and layered on a pink card stock....i loved making the layout using all pretty things ...hope u like it too...thanks:)

Some close ups to show the details....

The right corner with a wooden bird embellishment made white using gesso ...some lace on the background and the pretty roses...

Scrap Around the World Challenge...Bliss

Hi this is my take on the April challenge of Scrap Around the world. Its a very serene layout I've ever made...so i call it bliss...I loved the mood board the teal aqua colour, the shells the candles and sand and everything ....
Many things inspired me so ill try to mention all...I have used the webster pages designer paper beautiful chic...I was inspired by the aqua teal colour and the waves so I tried to give that look with paint and gel medium mixed and spreading it unevenly with the spatula the different shades of sea the light and the dark...then i added some crystal glitters to give the sand look at the edges...i was tempted to use the cheese cloth to give that water effect...for embellishment i used a wooden candle stand, shells, anchor and teal flowers and shaded the white ones to tones of teal....i simply love the picture that i used its my daughter when she first tried to play in sand and it was a memorable time for me...I really enjoyed making it hope you like it too...:)

Some close ups to show the details of the layers...

the texture that i created with the spatula and crystal glitters...and all the embellishments i used can be seen in more details...i painted it with gesso and give it a light teal wash...
